Terms of Service

1. The service

JackAICut is a desktop editing assistant for DaVinci Resolve Studio. It reads a timeline in your local Resolve project, transcribes the spoken audio, and — after you confirm — creates a new result timeline or subtitle track inside that project.

It is a digital product delivered immediately after payment. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.

Transcription and AI suggestions can be wrong. You decide which passages to keep and which timeline to create. We do not guarantee recognition accuracy or a particular editing result.

2. Eligibility and your order number

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for having a valid DaVinci Resolve Studio licence, a compatible operating system, and a working internet connection.

No account is required. Your order number is the credential used to restore purchased minutes and to share the balance across your computers. Keep it private; anyone with the order number may be able to use the balance.

3. Pricing and payment

The current published price is USD 10 for 5 hours of timeline processing. Each device includes 60 free minutes. Prices and packages may change, but a change does not affect minutes you have already purchased.

Purchased minutes never expire, can be stacked, and are shared across your computers. Billing is based on the length of the timeline you submit, not on how long the software stays open. If a job fails, the held minutes are refunded.

Payments in mainland China are handled by WeChat Pay or Alipay. International card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay payments are handled by Waffo Pancake. We do not store your full card number, expiry date, or security code.

4. Refunds

Within 7 days of purchase, you may request a refund for unused minutes on a pro-rata basis. Minutes you have already consumed are not refundable. Duplicate charges are refunded in full. If the purchased minutes cannot be used because of a fault on our side and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, the unused portion is refundable.

Send the request to 1217654940@qq.com with the order number and the reason. We aim to reply within 7 business days. Refunds are returned through the original payment channel; the payment provider controls how long it takes to appear.

Mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction are not limited by this summary. For example, EU and UK consumers generally have a 14-day withdrawal right, but that right does not apply after digital content has been accessed or used, where the law allows the supplier to treat the contract as performed.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the service only for lawful purposes and only with media you have the right to process. You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties without our written consent, or use it in a way that violates applicable law or payment-network rules.

6. Your content and AI output

You retain your rights in the media, transcripts, and edits you create. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process the audio and provide the service. We do not use your content to train AI models.

The service may call third-party speech recognition and AI services. Their output can be inaccurate, and their terms may apply to the parts they process. Review the result before publishing or delivering it.

7. Intellectual property

The software, website, branding, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. This agreement gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the software for your own editing work. It does not transfer ownership.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Always keep backups of your source media and Resolve projects.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms. If we terminate the service for reasons that are not your fault, we will refund the unused portion of your paid minutes. You may contact us at any time to request deletion of your data.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties should first try to resolve a dispute by email. If that fails, the dispute may be brought before a competent court in China. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence are not affected.
